Taryn Simon
Simon Traylor (New York , 1975) has created in his series "An American Index of the Hidden and Unfamiliar" a collection of curiosities in which shows visible and inaccessible elements, found in a thorough screening process for four years at U.S. borders. Examines culture through the collection of elements, provided with the effect of showing what the other can not or has access to observe. Distressing images in the documentary aesthetic and innovative power.

Benoît Vollmer
"ex nihilo" is a photographic series focusing on the winter resorts out of season questioning the notion of heritage, beyond success or failure of this type of complex created in this case in the 70's. The strangeness of its function lost, deserted, sometimes it may seem purely documentary, but beyond that there is a successful aesthetic exercise, an internalization of the environment portrayed. The place does not exist, and exists because of the delicate and powerful gaze of the photographer.
